Dr. Sanz Simon will discuss her aims page and intended methodology for a potential grant application (RCT) investigating the effects of aerobic exercise on cognition and brain health in women at recent menopause (within 5 years). She is interested in feedback and suggestions to refine the trial design and specific aims. Dr. Sanz Simon’s research focuses on brain health disparities, sociocultural determinants, and individual characteristics that influence risk and resilience for cognitive aging and Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia (ADRD), with particular interest in developing cognitive and lifestyle interventions.
